Located on the outskirts of Treviso, along the Terraglio road, the project involves the restoration of an early 20th-century neoclassical villa and the construction of a new volume intended as a showroom. The intervention develops on two fronts: the restoration of the historic building, which retains its domestic character while introducing a renewed internal layout, and the construction of a contemporary concrete extension, positioned on the open area to the east. The new volume, simple and compact, is arranged over two levels with large glazed surfaces and engages with the villa without mimicry, establishing a dialogue based on proportion and rhythm. Materials and construction techniques draw from local tradition, reinterpreted in a contemporary key: concrete, featured both externally and internally, defines flexible and bright exhibition spaces, in contrast with the precision of plastered surfaces. Openings frame views of the surroundings, including the Church of San Lazzaro. The project is complemented by a series of outdoor spaces conceived as extensions of the interior environments. The project interprets the relationship between old and new as a declared contrast: the contemporary language does not imitate but engages with the existing structure, offering an authentic and current reading of the site.
